Good News Everyone!
Employed?
For how much longer?
On my drive to work, one morning, I was listening to talk radio when I heard Mayor Richard Daley make the following statement, “In this economy, it would be very difficult for someone to find a new job if they were to get laid-off”.
Think about this for a minute: You report to work one day and after a long eight to 14 hour shift (if you’re a manager), you’re asked to step into the H.R. office only to be told that your position with the company has been eliminated.
(Which by the way, would be a dick move on the company’s part for having you work the entire day.)
Would you be ready to deal with that situation? What are you doing now to help you prepare for job loss?
